My Approach
My Philosophy
Nutritional Therapy
for women with autoimmunity
I believe your body wants to heal.
Your body knows what to do when it’s given the right support, in the right order, and at the right pace. It’s what I’ve seen consistently in my work with clients, and it’s what I experienced myself on my own healing journey. The body is always trying to move toward balance, and our job is to give it what it needs to get there.
I believe most women with autoimmunity are missing two crucial things.
The first is a comprehensive protocol that addresses both the foundations the body needs to function and the more complex layers like gut dysfunction, hormone imbalances, chronic infections, and toxin burden. Most approaches do one or the other, or they miss important steps. The body requires both to truly heal.
The second thing that’s missing is consistent, ongoing support from their practitioner throughout the process. So many women are handed a protocol and left to figure it out on their own. When you’re dealing with a complex chronic condition or autoimmunity, that adds to feeling overwhelmed, confusion, inconsistency, and the feeling that nothing is working. In reality, what’s missing is someone in your corner helping you navigate every step of the way and celebrating your wins.
You shouldn’t have to do this alone. And with me, you won’t.
I believe bio-individuality changes everything.
There is no one single protocol that works for every woman with autoimmunity. What works for one person may not work for another. That’s why everything I recommend for you is based on your labs, your history, your symptoms, your goals, and your life. Your body is unique, and your path to healing should be too.
This is my promise to you.
Every recommendation I make with a client comes back to these beliefs. Supporting the foundations while addressing the deeper root causes. Moving in the right order so we’re not overwhelming your system. Staying by your side so you never feel lost in the process.
This is what I wished I had when I was struggling, and it’s what I’m committed to giving every woman I work with.

FAQs
Autoimmune Support FAQ
Why am I always tired even though my labs are normal?
Many women with autoimmune symptoms experience chronic fatigue even when standard lab work appears “normal.” Fatigue can be connected to many different issues such as inflammation, nutrient deficiencies, food sensitivities, blood sugar imbalances, thyroid imbalances, poor sleep, chronic stress, gut dysfunction, toxin exposure, or immune system imbalance. A functional nutritionist looks at how all of these systems connect so we can get a clear picture of what’s actually going on and truly address these issues instead of only managing symptoms.
Can functional nutrition help autoimmune symptoms?
Functional nutrition helps support women experiencing autoimmune symptoms by addressing factors like inflammation, gut health, stress, sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle habits. While there is no one-size-fits-all for autoimmune disease, many women notice improvements in energy, digestion, brain fog, sleep, and reduction in body aches or pain.
Do I need an autoimmune diagnosis to work with a functional nutritionist?
No. Many women seek support before receiving a formal diagnosis from their doctor because they know something in their body feels off. Functional nutrition focuses on understanding symptoms, health history, lifestyle patterns, and potential root causes to these symptoms.
Why do I still feel terrible even though I’m eating healthy?
The reality is that health is not just about “clean” eating, and it’s just one piece of the puzzle. Factors like chronic stress, gut health, food sensitivities, blood sugar balance, sleep quality, and immune system dysfunction can all affect how you feel. What works for one person may not work for another, which is why a personalized functional nutrition approach focuses on understanding your unique body, symptoms, and underlying stressors instead of relying on generic wellness advice.
Can gut health affect autoimmune disease?
Yes, there is definitely a connection between gut health and autoimmune conditions. Imbalances in digestion, nutrient absorption, food sensitivities, and the gut microbiome will influence inflammation and immune function. Supporting gut health is always an important part of a functional nutrition approach for women with autoimmune symptoms.
Can stress make autoimmune symptoms worse?
Yes, chronic stress does contribute to increased inflammation, disrupted sleep, hormone imbalances, fatigue, and immune system imbalance. Many women with autoimmune symptoms feel stuck in a cycle of stress and exhaustion that can worsen flare-ups over time. Supporting the nervous system is an important part of reducing autoimmune symptoms.
How long will it take me to feel better & see results while working with you?
Since we all have unique, bio-individual needs, it’s impossible to give an exact time frame for your situation. Some people start seeing results within a few weeks, and some will take several months to a year or more. Most clients will need a minimum of three months to see improvements, however your time frame may vary.
What does working with a functional nutritionist for autoimmune health look like?
Working with a functional nutritionist typically includes a deep-dive into your symptoms, health history, nutrition, stress, sleep, digestion, lifestyle habits, and your health goals. We’ll also talk about connections between your symptoms and imbalances in the body or the lab markers. Support during follow-up sessions can include troubleshooting various nutrition/lifestyle/supplements, mindset support, or protocol changes.
What are the most commonly missed root causes in autoimmune conditions?
Some of the most frequently missed factors include chronic stress, gut issues, hidden chronic infections, mold or toxin exposure, blood sugar instability, and chronic stress.
